Englewood Hospital Earns Top Teaching Hospital Award from The Leapfrog Group

Seventh Year Hospital Has Received Recognition as National Leader For Quality and Safety

December 17, 2024 — Englewood Hospital has been recognized as a Top Teaching Hospital for 2024 by The Leapfrog Group, a national watchdog organization dedicated to healthcare quality and safety. This prestigious honor marks the seventh time Englewood Hospital has earned this distinction.

Englewood Hospital is one of only four hospitals in New Jersey to receive the Top Teaching Hospital designation for 2024 and is among the top 6 percent of hospitals nationwide evaluated by The Leapfrog Group. Of more than 2,400 hospitals assessed, Englewood Hospital is one of just 134 to earn the Top Hospital recognition and one of only 75 to achieve the title of Top Teaching Hospital.

The Leapfrog Top Hospital Award is widely regarded as one of the most competitive honors in American healthcare. According to The Leapfrog Group, hospitals recognized as Top Hospitals demonstrate superior performance in critical areas, including systems to prevent medication errors, quality maternity care, infection control, and safer surgical practices.
