The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center takes a team approach.

Our disease-specific teams include doctors and other healthcare professionals from a variety of disciplines with experience treating your cancer. Together, these experts create an individualized plan of treatment designed to meet your needs. We offer the most sophisticated lymphoma treatments available based on the latest medical research, tailored to the unique characteristics of your cancer.

Your Care Team

Your providers all practice in one convenient location, making it easy for you to see them during a single visit. Your care team may include hematologist-oncologists, who specialize in the care of people with blood cancers, and radiation oncologists, who plan radiation therapy. Your care team meets regularly to discuss your treatment and determine the most effective approach, which may include chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and/or radiation therapy.

Englewood Health also partners with other healthcare organizations. If you need specialized lymphoma treatment that we do not provide, we can seamlessly connect you with the appropriate care at another hospital.

Medical Treatments for Lymphoma

Anti-cancer medications are the primary form of treatment for lymphoma. Our Infusion Center, located on the Englewood Hospital campus, offers a comfortable and convenient experience for patients returning often for therapy. We also provide medical treatments in our Jersey City and Fair Lawn locations.

The medical treatments we offer for lymphoma are specific to your type of cancer. They include chemotherapy (which kills cancer cells) and targeted therapies (which take aim at the molecules driving the growth of your cancer). They are often given in combination, so you will likely receive more than one drug. Your care team will discuss the treatment that may work best for you.

Radiation Therapy for Lymphoma

Radiation therapy is tailored for you based on your lymphoma’s characteristics and your overall health. It can be very effective, particularly for Hodgkin lymphoma and certain types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Radiation may target cancer cells in a specific area or a few regions or be used in combination with other treatments.

Englewood Health’s radiation oncology team offers therapy that spares healthy tissue, using state-of-the-art equipment at the Coe Radiation Oncology Center at our main Englewood Hospital campus.

Geriatric Oncology for Lymphoma

At Englewood Health, we offer specialized care for older adults diagnosed with lymphoma. Our team focuses on the unique needs of elderly patients, tailoring treatment plans to address both the cancer and any age-related health concerns. With a comprehensive approach that balances effective cancer treatment and maintaining quality of life, we provide personalized care that takes into account the patient's overall well-being and treatment tolerability.

Clinical Trials

Our oncologists participate in many clinical trials evaluating promising new treatment options for Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. A clinical trial may give you access to a cutting-edge therapy that is not yet available as a standard treatment. Your care team will let you know if you may be eligible for any clinical trials. The decision to participate is entirely yours.

Survivorship Services

After completing multidisciplinary therapy, patients are guided through a comprehensive survivorship meeting. This meeting provides an opportunity to review the treatments received and establish a personalized plan for ongoing surveillance and follow-up care. Our team will assess your current health status, discuss strategies for monitoring your recovery, and help ensure you have the necessary support for long-term well-being following lymphoma treatment.
