About Andrew Weissman, MD
Dr. Weissman is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He is also certified in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, He received his MD from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he received the Resident of the Year award in 2003 and the Harry D. Fein Memorial Award in 2004. Englewood Hospital presented him with the Teaching Attending of the Year award in 2008 and 2010. Dr. Weissman's areas of particular interest are echocardiography and congestive heart failure.
I pride myself in explaining cardiac disease states and treatment options in a way that my patients and their family can easily understand. This provides them with the tools necessary to be actively involved in making difficult decisions such as starting new medications or undergoing invasive procedures.
