Youran Gao, MD

Dr. Gao, part of The Park Medical Group, is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He specializes in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as of the liver and pancreas. His clinical interests include general gastroenterology, prevention and detection of gastrointestinal cancers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and liver disease. Dr. Gao received his MD from Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he also did a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship and was chief fellow. He is a member of the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and has authored several papers published in peer-reviewed journals. In addition to English, Dr. Gao is fluent in Mandarin; he is conversational in Cantonese and Spanish.
